In a huge group effort that spanned late into the night, the Florida Fish and Wildlife foundation and dozens of other crews worked to help save 19 manatees from a local storm drain earlier this week. Experts believe that the manatees likely went into the storm drains to look for warmer waters during Florida’s latest cold spell.
Luckily, the teams working to free the manatees were able to successfully rescue all of them using heavy duty construction equipment. The manatees were then able to be released back into the wild with only minor scratches to show for their ordeal. Get the full details in this incredible video.
